St. Pete Pergolas Is Now Hansen Crafted Outdoors

For years, homeowners in Saint Petersburg knew us as St. Pete Pergolas. That name told people exactly what we built and where we built it, and it served us well while we were growing. It also became too small for the projects our clients were asking for.

Today the company is Hansen Crafted Outdoors. The ownership has not changed, the crews have not changed, and the standards we hold ourselves to on every jobsite have not changed. What has changed is that the name now reflects the full scope of what we design and build.

Most of our projects no longer stop at a pergola. A homeowner calls about shade over a patio, and by the time the design is finished we are also detailing an outdoor kitchen, a screened lanai, new decking, lighting, and drainage. Naming the company after one structure made it harder for people to understand that we handle the whole backyard as a single, permitted, code-compliant build.

The Hansen name also matters to us. Andrew and Audrey Hansen run this company personally, and putting the family name on the truck is a commitment. If something is not right, you are not calling a call center, you are calling the people whose name is on the work.

Nothing about your project or your paperwork is affected by the name change.

Under the new name we are formally offering the services our clients kept asking for: custom pergolas and louvered roof systems, outdoor kitchens and bar builds, screen enclosures and screened lanais, and full outdoor living transformations that tie the whole yard together.

We have also widened our service area. In addition to Saint Petersburg and the surrounding Pinellas beaches, we regularly build in Tampa, South Tampa, Clearwater, Lakewood Ranch, Bradenton, and Sarasota.

Building outdoors in Florida is a structural problem before it is a design problem. Wind load, salt air, driving summer rain, and afternoon sun all get a vote in what we specify. Every structure we install is engineered and permitted for its site, including flood zone and wind mitigation requirements where they apply.

That approach is why we do not sell kit structures. A backyard two blocks off the water in Gulfport has different requirements than an inland lot in Carrollwood, and the plans should say so.
