Ames Handheld Anemometer
The RVM 96B-1 Handheld Anemometer is a truly portable, easy to use electronic – mechanical device for wind measurements. It is used where other instruments, due to their design, weight or dimensions, are unsuitable.

Features
The system for measuring wind speed is optoelectronic, with a 3-cup Robinson’s cross and digital liquid crystal display. Wind speed is sampled in 1-second intervals.
The anemometer also calculates one minute average and max speed, which show values on the display. As an option, wind speed data can be transmitted to the external device each second through the RS 232 serial port (RVM 96B-1/T).
The handheld anemometer can be set to measure wind speed in m/s, km/h, knots, or mph. Wind speed units can be selected by the user.
A mechanical system with a vane and circular scale is used for measuring the direction of the wind. A built-in electronic compass enables proper orientation of the device.
The bottom of the handle has a standard ¼” nut to enable the attachment of the device to a standard photographic tripod. A case is provided for transport and storage of RVM 96B-1.
